LPPM Team Holds Audience with PJ. Mayor of Pagaralam for Implementation of KKNT
The Sriwijaya University Community Service Research Institute (LPPM – Unsri) team held an audience with PJ. Mayor of Pagaralam to discuss the implementation of the 101st batch of Thematic Real Work Lectures (KKNT) which are planned to be held in sub-districts in Pagaralam City. The team consisting of the Research Center Coordinator, Prof. Dr. rer.med. H. Hamzah Hasyim, S.K.M., M.K.M., KKN Center Coordinator, Dr. Rizky Tirta Adhiguna, S.TP., M.Si., and staff were received by the Acting Mayor of Pagaralam, Drs. Nelson Firdaus, MM accompanied by Assistant for General Administration, Drs. Hermawan MM; Mayor's Expert Staff for Welfare and Human Resources Sunarto, S.Pd, MM; Mayor's Expert Staff for Economics, Development and Finance Drs. Samsul Bahri Burlian, M.Si. in the Besemah Tige meeting room, Pagaralam Mayor's Office, Tuesday (12/11/2024). At that event, Prof. Dr. rer.med. H. Hamzah Hasyim conveyed to PJ. Mayor of Pagaralam and other officials that the Chair of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) Unsri, Prof. Benjamin Lakitan, Ph.D. encouraging the contribution of students and accompanying lecturers in the sustainable development of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in various regions in South Sumatra, including in the city of Pagaralam. He further said that this would be applied to Unsri Thematic KKN activities which were focused on programs to achieve sustainable development goals including Healthy Village or Ward; Climate Change Response Villages or Subdistricts; Entrepreneurial Village or Subdistrict; Literacy Village or Subdistrict; TOGA (Family Medicinal Plants) Conservation; Smart Young Farmers Group; Tourism Village or District; Digital Based Waste House; Village or Cultural Subdistrict; Women's Empowerment and others.PJ. The Mayor of Pagaralam welcomed the Thematic KKN activities that will be carried out by Unsri. He expressed pride because of the 17 districts/cities in South Sumatra, Pagaralam City was chosen as the location for implementing the Thematic KKN. He hopes that with the Unsri Thematic KKN, female students can promote Pagaralam City more widely, especially in the fields of tourism and agriculture.
