12 Papermob Formations Established PKKMB Activities in Unsri
The series of activities to introduce campus life for new students (PKKMB) at Sriwijaya University were enlivened by the Student Executive Board (BEM UNSRI) which successfully presented 12 Papermob formations witnessed by Lagsung by the leadership, lecturers, and UNSRI employees involving thousands of new students held in the Field of the ceremony in front of the Unsri Indralaya Rectorate Building, Tuesday (6/8/2024).
Following are 12 Papermob Formations presented by Unsri students: Sang Saka Merah Putih (symbol of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia who celebrate the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence), Merdeka Campus (Latest Innovation of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia), Merdeka Learning (Giving Student Learning Freedom. Sriwijaya (Prof. Dr. Taufiq Marwa, S.E., M.Sc.), Ampera Bridge (as the Palembang City icon), Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin 2 (Heroes contributed to fighting enemy colonials occupying Palembang City), Welcome Asteria Sriwijaya (Welcome Sriwijaya Muda, In supporting the movement more concerned with the environment), Bhawasena Sriwijaya (goes further, strengthened more resilient), the Bhawasena (young lion, brave, symbolizing young Sriwijaya, strong, brave, and victorious), and We Will Return (seeing PKKMB Sriwijaya University in 2025).
Chairman of BEM Unsri, Juan Aqshal said that PKKMB activities were not just ceremonial in welcoming thousands of new students who came from various regions and backgrounds to come to Sriwijaya University. "BEM and the committee initiated a masterpiece that must be created from this sacred momentum. Papermob is a form of masterpiece presented by new students," he said.
Juan said that the Paper Mob choreography involved as many as 4,096 new students to display 12 Papermob formations that contain positive messages to the world.
"The hope is to be able to provide its own enthusiasm to new students in receiving education at Sriwijaya University and having a positive impact on the whole community," concluded Juan. (Ara_humas)
